Nothing, absolutely NOTHING says chic better than Valentino. I fell in love with this skirt paired with a cashmere blend sweater. Mix up your chic look with a few tough and edgy details. To do this, add these pointed, studded wedges and a Loree Rodkin diamond knuckle ring.

The Show-stopper

This outfit is a definite show-stopper! I love the blend of elegance and sexiness of this Lanvin jumpsuit. This draped jumpsuit is the perfect substitute for the conventional cocktail dress. The ruching detail also makes this piece utterly flattering. For that high-impact look, add these Versace leopard-print calf hair and patent-leather pumps.

Sometimes less is more, especially when wearing these Pierre Hardy caged heels! I love the earthy tones of the intertwined orange, brown and navy blue leather straps. Keep it simple, and wear these heels with a minimalist asymmetric dress. This combo is a sure winner for any occasion! 

Cool, Calm, & Relaxed

This outfit is perfect for a casual afternoon at the mall, a movie matinee, or a picnic with the one you love. This “Baja” jacket by Proenza Schouler makes a comeback for Cruise 2012. This cotton poncho, of grayscale color blocking, exudes a sense of cool. What better match than to pair this jacket with flared denim and braided platform sandals?

It seems like almost EVERYONE is obsessed with the stilettos Charlize Theron wore at the Golden Globes, including me. This Givenchy sexy stiletto with metal hardware detail and silver spiked heel cannot be found online, but I just HAD to include it. I love this simple, yet chic, billowy silhouette paired with an orange woven belt. We can all dream we had these shoes to match!

Sterling silver metallic finishes add the perfect touch of elegance to any outfit. My personal favorite, and absolutely necessary, accessory to any look is a hint of color on your nails. Silver is the go to color for adornments this spring, so go ahead and add some glimmer to your everyday look! 

Emerald Green + Kitten Heels

As everyone knows, Isabel Marant is one of my all time favorite designers! I absolutely ADORE this shirtdress paired with Burberry yellow embellished kitten heels. Kitten heels are back on trend, just in time to give our feet a rest from sky-high platforms. What a better final touch than this Marni clutch?

I am OBSESSED over this kelly-green leather skirt. This skirt has two elements of surprise, not only its color, but also the back zipper detail. The main trend this spring is pairing subdued neutrals with vibrant color, which is why I paired this bold skirt with a neutral knit poncho. Orange is my favorite color, so I of course had to include a great “POC” below!

NYC Trend Watch

Last week during my stay in the Big Apple, I was able to attend some fashion shows and these are the trends of things to come for the New Year:


1. BOXY JACKET: To be worn with a fitted bottom (shorts or skinny jeans), a soft underpinning, and a chunky utilitarian shoe.

2. PLEATED SKIRT: Wear with a silk, flowy blouse, or a thin cashmere cardigan with soft sleeveless underpinning. Also add a feminine handbag, statement earrings, and a great d’Orsay pump.

3. PEPLUM TOP: A very classic 50’s silhouette that goes great with a straight slim skirt, or a cropped pant. For finishing touches, add chunky heels, or a strappy, heavy pump.

4. MAXI SKIRT: One of my favorites!!! Can be worn with a great denim button down, or a biker jacket with a slinky wife beater underneath. Buckle an oversized belt at your waist, and sling a cross-body bohemian bag over your shoulders. A gladiator sandal is the perfect finale to this ensemble!

You can never go wrong with animal print! Leopard print is an everlasting favorite in the fashion world, and mine. Pair this Yves Sain Laurent bold, silk-satin dress with sassy Versace heels. Don’t settle for one striking piece; let your whole look do the talking. Nothing growls louder than this pairing! Want to subdue your look for the daytime? Add a lightweight scarf, which can also be tied to your handbag for the nighttime.

This spring, trade in your little black dress for a little orange dress. Don’t be shy when it comes to your accessories! A bright dress calls for metallic accessories to match. Whether it may be metallic gold, silver, or multi-color, the options are limitless. So go ahead and trade in black for bright!

In 2012, ditch your red skinnies and add a pop-of-color with a pair of yellow shorts. Nothing says fun-in-the-sun like yellow! Pair these shorts with this fun, vintage inspired tee. Pull off this 60's inspired look with a fringed bag... definitely a staple. Don't forget a pair of funky sandals!

Tom Ford metallic sandals

I rang in the New Year with Tom Ford… killer, metallic heels of course! It was surprising that I was not the only one to celebrate 2012 with the impeccable designer. Another Tom Ford fan sported these heels and danced in the New Year with glistening red on the dance floor. Last year was the year of platforms and chunky heels, but 2012 is all about the feminine stilettos. I know this will not be my last date with Tom!
